Who is the face behind the name?
Hi, my name is Vanessa Aponte. I am a mother of a beautiful son and daughter. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 15 years. My adventures with them many times have occured spontaneously in warmer weather, not surprisingly because we are warm blooded beings from Puerto Rico. When I seek opportunities to grow spiritually, in health and as a person, my self-confessed Facebook addict abilities have shown at times useful to reseach and understand these topics. With all seriousness, I am also a dedicated advocate for Multiple Sclerosis (MS), having been diagnosed with MS in 2005. Fortunately, the progression of MS has been very slow for me, regardless of the scans of my brain showing something different. Thats me, so far.
The inspiration to create the blog Mom Health Multiple Sclerosis comes from the moment when my life changed permanently at the passing of my mother. The butterfly on the brand is inspired by my mother’s love for butterflies (maybe that’s why she called me Vanessa). I created Mom Health Multiple Sclerosis in 2016 as a way to share health information and my experiences, as well as provide support to those who are living with Multiple Sclerosis, and their families. Sharing information about what approaches have worked for me is something I feel passionate about. I equally enjoy learning your story and what has worked for you on your journey. The ultimate goal is to combat this chronic disease with the combined knowledge, motivation and inspiration that this platform brings.
